How payment works
Our payment system is designed to minimize risks.
The writer is paid upon completion
While you’ll need to make a deposit once you hire a writer, they won’t be paid until the work is done.
You decide when to release the funds to them.

We’ve developed a Refund Policy to protect you. You can request a refund on your order page. We’ll carefully review your case and make a fair decision.

Everything you need to know about payments, transactions, and refunds.
Can I pay for my order in a different currency?
We only charge in USD, but you can still pay even if your card or payment method uses a different currency. Your bank will automatically convert the payment to USD using its exchange rate. Please keep in mind that your bank may also charge a foreign transaction fee or other applicable fees.
How can I check the currency conversion rate before payment?
The quickest way to check the currency conversion rate is to open your banking app. You’ll see buying and selling rates live. Alternatively, you can use an exchange rate calculator, which is more convenient if you want to calculate the amount you’ll be paying.
My transaction failed — what should I do?
First, check the transaction status to see whether it shows as rejected or pending. If you have enough funds and are confident that you haven’t exceeded your daily limit, the best course of action is to contact your bank. If the payment was blocked by your bank, they’ll let you know what can be done.
Can the currency and bank fees affect my final transaction amount?
Yes, if your card is not in USD, the exchange rate may affect the total amount you pay. Your bank may also charge a foreign transaction fee or other similar fees. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges. If you have any questions about them, we recommend contacting your bank.
My transaction is stuck in pending status — what should I do?
Wait for a bit until your bank finishes processing the transaction. It typically takes no more than a few minutes, but processing times can vary by bank. Avoid making another payment while the first one is still pending. If the status doesn’t change after a reasonable amount of time, contact your bank to check whether the transaction is still being processed or has been declined.
Why do I see a duplicate transaction?
Your bank may temporarily display what appears to be a duplicate transaction when multiple payment attempts are made for the same amount or while a payment is still being processed. If two completed charges appear for the same order, go to Balance — Refund requests, click “Request a refund,” and enter the amount.
What is your refund policy?
We can grant you a partial or full refund in one of the following cases:
- No expert assigned
- Late cancellation
- Late delivery
- Disputed claims
- Accidental duplicate order
- Two invoices received
- Issues with content originality
For more information, please refer to our Refund Policy.
How can I request a refund?
Go to the Balance page, click “Refund requests,” then “Request a refund.” Enter the amount you’d like to be refunded, then click “Proceed.” You can cancel the refund request at any time.
Alternatively, click the Help center icon in the bottom-left corner to contact support and request a refund. When describing the issue to our support agents, please provide as much detail as possible. It will help us process your request more quickly and make a fair decision.
How can I check the status of my refund request?
On the Balance page, go to Refund requests and check the status. If the status hasn’t changed after some time, you can also contact our support team for an update.
Is it possible to receive a refund on a different card?
No, unfortunately, you can only receive a refund to the card you used to pay for the order. We have no control over this, as refunds are processed by the payment card networks.
How can I get a refund if I paid with Apple Pay?
If you paid with Apple Pay, the refund will be issued to the same card linked to your Apple Pay account that was used for the purchase. Refunds can’t be sent to a different card or payment method.
How long does it take to process a refund?
Once you receive a refund confirmation from us, the refund is typically processed within a few business days. While bank transactions are usually settled within 3 to 5 business days, please allow up to 10 business days for your bank to fully process the transfer and credit the funds to your card.
Why do prices differ for similar orders?
Prices are calculated based on the academic level, deadline, paper type, and page count. All of these factors affect your order total, so two identical orders with slightly different deadlines or other details can be priced differently.
Additionally, our experts can suggest their own prices for orders. That’s why the proposals you receive may vary slightly in price. It’s up to you which proposal to accept.
Can prices differ for identical orders?
As we use a dynamic pricing model, prices can vary based on factors like demand and writer availability. Although this may result in different prices for similar orders, it ensures you receive the best possible price under the platform's current conditions.
Can I pay a deposit first and the rest after my order is completed?
You need to pay the full amount as a deposit to secure your order. Without it, your order won’t be assigned to your chosen expert, and they won’t begin working on it.
However, the expert won’t receive the funds until you approve the completed order and release the payment.
Can I pay for my order in installments?
No, you need to pay the full price of your order once you’ve hired a writer. If you’re ordering a large paper and have any concerns, you can order a small part first to make sure you’re satisfied with our service before ordering the rest. You can also release the funds to your writer in parts, but the deposit must be paid in full.
Can I pay for my order with a gift card?
You can pay with a Visa or Mastercard prepaid gift card, provided it supports online transactions and has sufficient funds to cover the entire order amount. However, compatibility depends on the card issuer and payment processor, so we can’t guarantee that all prepaid gift cards will be accepted.
Can I pay using PayPal or Cash App?
No. We currently accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, and major debit and credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club International. The only exceptions are a PayPal Debit Mastercard or a Cash App Card, which you can use as a regular debit card. However, you can’t pay using PayPal or Cash App as digital wallets.
How can I update my card details?
You can add a new card whenever you top up your account balance. If you’d like to remove a card, you can do so at any time on the Balance page under Payment methods.
Is upfront payment required, and is it safe?
Yes, we require a deposit to secure your order, though your writer won’t receive the funds until the work is complete and you approve the final version. All payments are completely safe. We accept only trusted payment methods, and all transactions are protected with 256-bit encryption.
Do you accept cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, USDT, etc.)?
No, we currently don’t accept cryptocurrency payments. You can pay in USD using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a debit or credit card, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club International.
Will I receive a payment confirmation or receipt?
You’ll receive a copy of your receipt via the email address associated with your account. If you also need an invoice, you can download it from the order page. Go to My orders, open the relevant order, and click “Get invoice” (under “Order total”).
